Staff Luncheon Tomorrow!

Let’s show our wonderful Niagara School teachers and staff how much we appreciate them. They not only teach our children, they regularly deal with conflict resolution, enforce codes of conduct, and perform minor medical procedures on a daily basis.  They really care for our kids.

Think about contributing to our potluck luncheon as a way of thanking them. Perhaps you have time to pick up a veggie tray or even a pack of crackers and a block of cheese. Maybe you are able to make an extra casserole or bake a zucchini bread. It’s all good!

Please drop off what you can tomorrow morning in the staff lounge. (While you are there please feel free to sign the card.)  Label your dishes if necessary and then pick them up after school.

Thanks Niagara!

Spring Fling 2018

This year’s Spring Fling raised over $10,000!  Pretty amazing.  The funds will be put to good use.  The Daycare will use their share for special programming and Niagara School will use their share for activities, field trips, equipment and additional programming.

Hats off to Jessica, Paul, Thea and all of our very special volunteers who worked so hard making this a successful FUNdraiser!  Thank you very much!

The weather was perfect, the food was great, the prizes were awesome…..could not have been better.

Pizza Days at Niagara

Thank you to everyone who participated in our pizza lunch days. Mr H did a great job organizing these events along with parent volunteer Lisa Melo. They managed to raise about $300 per lunch with proceeds going to the School Council.

Thanks also to the parents who volunteered to hand out slices and kept things running smoothly.

We are looking forward to Pizza Lunches next year!

Run, Jump, Throw!

Last Thursday was a big day for the grade 2-3 kids at Niagara.  It was their Run, Jump and Throw event and this year they spent the day at Central Tech High School on the athletic field with children from other schools.  They played at various activity stations designed to teach the skills they’ll need for future track and field events like relay races, running long and triple jump.  All the while having fun, meeting new friends and encouraging each other.

Go Niagara’s future track stars!
