Thank you everyone for contributing and/or participating in our Valentine’s Bake Sale. There were some wonderful goodies and very happy tummies.
Linda raised a whopping $547 and $28 went to the Heart and Stroke Foundation! That’s a lot of dough! This money will allow the council to continue their support of special programs and events at the school.
Thank you once again.
Just a reminder that there is a PA Day this Friday and Family Day is on Monday!
Have a great extra long weekend everyone.
A reminder that due to parent-teacher interviews there will be no Mandarin / Spanish classes after school tomorrow afternoon.
There will, however, be Folkfest practice after school.
A friendly reminder that our Valentine’s Bake Sale is tomorrow at lunch, afternoon recess and after school.
If you are able to help out, please bring your nut-free treats to the Parenting (Literacy, Drop-off..) Centre on the main floor in the morning.
Dont forget to send the kiddies off with some dough (haha) so they can buy some goodies!
A friend of mine forwarded this article to me. The Principal at her child’s school sent it out to parents and I thought it might be worth sharing too.

Math Fluency Without Fear
There will be a Bake Sale on Friday! Dig up those cookie and cake pop recipes because we’ll need lots of fancy treats to sell. Think pink and red, heart-shaped with sprinkles or have some fun with frosting.
Bring your nut-free creations in the morning and drop them off in the Literacy Centre (across from Room 2).
Be sure to send the kids off on Friday morning with extra loonies – $1 / guess at the candy jar.
Proceeds for the sale will go to the school while the candy jar proceeds go to The Heart and Stroke Foundation.
